Band singer Ronald Mayinja over the weekend released “Abantu baganye”, a song criticizing the NRM regime. The controversial song has caused divided opinions online, with many calling him a double-faced person.
Discussing the song, the musician said he has not left the NRM party. He is only using his music to call out the government to act accordingly.
Mayinja explained people are desperate for change and it’s only better for the NRM government to give chance to other people.
“I have not left NRM, it’s just that people fail to understand me. I am just calling out Sevo to retire peacefully,” he said in an interview with a local YouTuber.
In 2020, he quit the National Unity Platform(NUP) and joined the NRM government.
